Aida has thirty five years of experience in corrosion and materials engineering and the application of pipeline integrity measures to buried pipelines, compressor stations, and petro-chemical plants. She has managed programs in all aspects of Direct Assessment, Cathodic Protection, corrosion monitoring, welding, protective coatings, in-line inspection, NDE, and structure integrity including external, internal and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) evaluations and repair strategies. Aida lead the NACE Task Group the developed the first External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA) procedure, and the NACE Confirmatory Direct Assessment Methodology that serves as a guidance to the pipeline industry.
